Xi Training Ltd is the country's leading work at height training, ppe equipment supply and ppe inspection providers and has been training for over over 15 years. Xi Training's core business provides clients with a fully managed service for working at height training solutions for the UK and World's largest clients.Our clients include including, amongst others, Motorola, UN, Panasonic, BT, Airwave, Nestle, British Transport Police and O2. Xi's reputations originally comes from it's long standing record for training people primarily in the telecoms communications and rigging industry, however there are many applications of the working at height safety training that Xi Training provides and as such the business has grown to train within a number of different industry sectors such as government and not for profit organisations, warehousing and logistics, policing organisations etc.

Xi Training has history going back to the early 90’s. Lars Communications (now our sister company) were asked to provide working at height training courses informally to a client of theirs. This lead them to realise a dedicated training facility was financially viable. The training department of Lars Communications was born. This went from strength to strength. NVQ standards were put in place and relationships were developed with Telecoms companies needing training to comply with health and safety law.
To feed the demand for newly trained staff to the industry, links were made with the armed services and the rigging resettlement training course was born for men wanting a civilian career in the rigging industry. At the time the telecoms market was very buoyant and the course was always full. The department continued to go from strength to strength and other avenues for working at height training were researched additional safety training courses were designed and delivered.
Over the past 10 years the working at height safety training department then fluctuated in size and content delivery. The two week Telecoms rigging course became a month long course, and although longer, it is more refined.
Clients become more diverse people from outside comms, and as a results, the department became Xi Training Ltd in 2001, set up as a separate company to work with people who work at height but not necessarily in the Telecoms industry. Xi Training focused on delivering work at height training course for sectors such as warehousing, logistics, public sector and policing organisations, emergency services, Utilities, construction, MOD, consultancy companies etc. Courses were refined further with a core of qualified teachers updating the work at height training courses. Xi Training continues to successfully develop and run standard work at height training courses as well as designing safety systems and solutions for clients on a bespoke training basis. Recently Xi Training have branched out to develop the PPE Supply and PPE inspection for clients on a managed service basis with the aid of state of the art management software. |
