As you might expect, our work really revolves around access to towers, masts and roof spaces. This is not the case, whilst we have done this for Telecoms companies for many years, we have also trained everyone from site planners to installation engineers in this country and beyond. Training courses which enable this are Occasional Climber (ladder access) for those access a roof through to Advanced industrial climber. |

A valued client which looks after the UK emergency services radio system uses us to train their two man teams who have to respond any time day or night to fix faults usually at height whilst the rest of us sleep. Other companies with greater dangers have used us for their staff working in war zones which have been in the news over recent years providing installation / maintenance of equipment which enables soldiers to call home to family and friends and in doing so provide a valuable boost to morale. More exciting is the teaching of rope access skills to our sister company Lars Communications. Their staff replace the fronts of microwave dishes on towers – some at considerable height. Our rope access training conforms to BS 7985 as we find many of our clients tend not to favour the complicated IRATA training regimes. Such is the usefulness of rope access to get to areas that other systems cannot, we also had an obscure request to train lads to climb up the inside of a furnace in Dundee. Such was their satisfaction with the training, we were tasked with an onsite visit to provide bespoke rigging kit to get in and out of the furnace . . . . . obviously whilst turned off. |
