A number of changes have been made to both of the MATS courses have been made including both written and practical tests – EUSR information can be viewed here.

In addition, training providers now have to implement a £30 delegate registration and certification fee for each delegate/ course delivered from 1st January 2020 onwards. Each delegate who passes the course will have a card and certificate provided by EUSR, who will maintain a publicly available database of all riggers registered on the scheme.

Currently in date climb and rescue valid certs will have 12 months to renew as before; at that point they will need to attend a registered provider (hopefully XI) to renew their certificates, under the new framework. The EUSR course information sheet can be viewed here.

To book a MATS course or have any other work at height training requirements, please give Luke Harwood or Barry McLeod a call on 01524 736 510.
