Introduction

The Mast and Tower Safety Group 3 day Tower Climb and Rescue course is designed for new climbers coming into the telecoms industry. The course framework managed by Energy and Utility Skills provides delegates with the key information and practical training to work safely at height and gain access to telecoms tower sites owned by Arqiva and others.

Our MATS Initial Basic Tower Climber and Rescue training course is designed for industry professionals working at height on high structures wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and require rescue status in line with 2005 work at height regulations. The course uses PowerPoint presentations, discussions on legislation related to working at height, followed by hands on PPE inspection. Delegates will be taught and assessed on practical elements of ladder and open structure climbing on a tower and the use of fall arrest systems on a selection of structure types.
