Introduction

The Tower Climber and Rescue Re-validation training course is an annual refresher course designed for industrial climbing professionals to prove their competency to climb and rescue at height on high structures.

Effective Rescue Plans (Classroom)

Knowledge of suspension trauma (Classroom)

Rescue hierarchy (Classroom)

‘Off-Weighting’ the casualty: Risk and Rescue Scenarios (Classroom)

Climbing Technique (Practical)

Delegates will have to demonstrate an aptitude to safely ascend/ descend away from the ladder on mast or tower faces whilst maintaining permanent attachment (including use of ‘additional’ FPE such as retractable lines etc)

Use of fall arrest lanyards: Aptitude and Application e.g. Latchway, Glideloc, Railok etc (Practical)

Application and Use of Work positioning lanyards (Practical)

Selection of appropriate anchor points (Practical)

Rescue Exercises (Practical)

Delegates will need to bring out door clothing suitable for the seasonal weather conditions. Climbing PPE will be provided.

If you prefer to use your own PPE please provide valid inspection records.
