Introduction
This Working at Height Safety training course is for industry professionals who are required to work at height, using the necessary height safety equipment. Falls from height are one of the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and major injuries. Common causes are falls from ladders and through fragile roofs. The purpose of the Working at Height Regulations is to prevent death and injury from a fall from height.
Work at height means work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury. For example you are working at height if you:
- Are working on a ladder or a flat roof
- Could fall through a fragile surface
- Could fall into an opening in a floor or a hole in the ground
Delegates will be exposed to situations where decisions need tobe taken regarding their engagement in any activity (including organisation, planning and supervision) in relation to working at height and associated equipment

- PPE regulations and management
- Pre use inspection of fall arrest and work positioning systems
- The correct wearing and fitting (buddy checks) of PPE

- Correct use of anchors and anchor point selection

Delegates will need to bring outdoor clothing suitable for seasonal weather conditions. Climbing PPE will be provided. If you prefer to use your own PPE please provide valid inspection records.
