Introduction
This bespoke training course is for anyone looking to be trained on the correct procedures on how to use the Harken Traction Winch 500 for Heavy Lifting. The Traction Winch is ideal for a diverse range of lifting and load pulling applications, it can either be manual or automatic use. Training includes demonstrations and practical use of the Harken Winch of loads up to a maximum of 4.9kN (500kg). An in-date Rigging & Heavy Lifting certificate (or equivalent) is required prior to booking this course.
This is a half-day practical course focused on the safe operation of the Harken Traction Winch 500 for lifting and load-pulling tasks. It provides hands-on training to ensure users understand correct setup, operation, and control of loads.
The course is designed for people who will be using the winch in lifting operations and requires an in-date Rigging & Heavy Lifting certificate (or equivalent) before attending.
The main objectives of this half-day course are to ensure you:
Understand the correct procedures for using the Harken Traction Winch 500 safely in lifting and load-handling tasks.
Gain hands-on experience operating the winch — including setup, operation and load control.
Build confidence in safe winch use in lifting applications appropriate to your work environment
Suitable outdoor/site clothing (Appropriate for the weather on the day)
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided by XI Training. However if delegates prefer to use their own PPE, they are required to bring along the associated and relevant inspection records.
