Confined Space High Risk

Thoseworking high risk confined spaces. A high risk confined space exists when thereis a specified hazard that cannot be eliminated or controlled.

There may ormay not be access issues and the work activity is being carried out expectingthe presence of the specified risk.

The workenvironment will be entered using self-contained breathing apparatus and willinvolve non-standard entries involving complex operations which introduceadditional risk and require specific controls and arrangements.

·        Identification of risks and their control

·        Weil’s disease and sewage and

·        Hazardous atmospheres and gas

·        Risk assessment process

·        Use of permit to work control measures.

·        Equipment selection and pre use inspection andsafe operation ( IP rated, intrinsically safe & ATEX approved).

·        Theoretical and practical training on escapebreathing Apparatus.

·        Resuscitation and breathing apparatus entry         

         control officer (BAECO) procedures
