Introduction
Rigging and Lifting Principles is a half-day training course from XI Training aimed at delegates who assist with lifting operations on site. It gives delegates a solid grounding in the basic principles, safety requirements and regulatory background for safe rigging and lifting work.
You’ll learn key topics such as:
How lifting operations should be planned and managed.
Relevant UK safety regulations and standards (e.g., LOLER/PUWER).
The basics of lifting gear, risk assessment, and equipment inspection.
The course is useful for delegates involved in supporting lifting tasks who need a clear, practical introduction to the subject.
This half day course is for persons wishing to assist in lifting operations. The course is designed to equip the delegate with all the required skills and knowledge to safely undertake lifting operations in accordance with LOLER & PUWER regulations.
The delegate will have to demonstrate a clear understanding of SWL, Anchors, and Knott’s for rigging,Complex pulley systems.Legislation
