Introduction
This 1 day course is designed for telecoms industry professionals to prove their competency to climb and rescue at height on high Monopole structures.
This 1 day course is designed for telecoms industry professionals to prove their competency to climb and rescue at height on high Monopole structures.
Delegates will be taught and assessed on both practical and classroom elements of ladder and monopole structure climb andrescue techniques on a selection of structure types
Modules will cover the following:
Use and understanding of Fall Arrest Lanyards: Aptitude and application e.g. Latchway (Practical)
Selection of Appropriate Anchor Points Application and use of Work Positioning Lanyards (Practical)
Effective Rescue Plans
Delegates will have to demonstrate an aptitude to safely ascend/ descend away from the ladder on monopole faces whilst maintaining permanent attachment (including use of ‘additional’PFPE such as anchor slings and JAG systems)
Rescue exercises (Practical)
Ladder and step peg scenarios
Knowledge of Suspension Trauma (Classroom)
Rescue Techniques and Hierarchy
‘Off-Weighting’ the Casualty – Risk and Rescue Scenarios (Classroom)
Delegates will need to bring outdoor clothing suitable for seasonal weather conditions. Climbing PPE will be provided. If you prefer to use your own PPE please provide valid inspection records.
